A Walking Tour
Saturday, Aug. 19th @ 8 AM
Archaeologist Sev Fowles will lead interested community members on a tour of a newly discovered archaeological site on Saturday, August 19th (changed from August 12th) at 8am. Site contains Tewa and Apache elements, including ramparts, shrines and rock art.
Meet at Casa Cristal Pottery at the north end of Velarde and park in the field in front of the pink and white double-wide trailer adjacent to the pottery shop. Walk is ten minutes uphill to the site. Please consider having appropriate footwear and water and plan on 1 or 1-1/2 hours.
